I recently read a great statement that called out to parents and carers to realise that you only have 18 Summers with your child. This got me thinking about how quickly time flies and the importance of enjoying the here and now. But yet again is this more modern parenting pressure to put on families, you might have to work all summer or be a single parent. It’s all too easy to get caught up in trying to have the perfect holiday and summer childhood. That’s where getting back to basics is best, kids love you and that’s who they want. You can be together at the weekend, in the evening in the park or on the beach, togetherness makes it special in whatever you do with them, play and spend time together!
